Cancellations and refunds
Questions about a consultation or payment arranged separately from this informational website.
1. No payment is taken by this form
Browsing the guides and preparing an administrative draft do not charge a consultation fee, collect a deposit or transfer funds. There is no website payment to reverse for those actions. If you paid in connection with a separately arranged appointment, identify that actual payment and the party that received it when raising a cancellation or repayment question.
2. Identify the confirmed appointment
A useful administrative request identifies the appointment date, the name used for the booking and an ordinary reference if one was provided. Explain whether you want to change a date, cancel a booking or query a charge. Keep the message limited to what is needed to identify the arrangement; medical reports and a detailed clinical history are unnecessary for an initial billing question.
3. Read the conditions of the actual arrangement
Any notice period, deposit condition or rescheduling arrangement must be considered with the information provided for the actual appointment and applicable law. This general page does not invent a fixed cancellation deadline, declare every fee non-refundable or promise an automatic refund. If a proposed charge is unclear, ask for the condition and the basis on which it is being applied.
4. Distinguish an enquiry from acknowledgement
Preparing a draft does not notify the business of a cancellation. You must decide whether to send the email and establish acknowledgement through the relevant communication channel. If a confirmed appointment is close, use the contact arrangements provided with that booking. A website preview cannot establish when a recipient read a message or whether a requested change was accepted.
5. Payments, corrections and processing
If a refund is agreed or required, clarify the payment reference, amount, currency and practical method with the responsible recipient. A duplicate or incorrect charge should be described with its date and relevant receipt. Do not send complete banking credentials, card numbers or authentication codes. Processing through a bank or other provider can involve separate steps, and this page does not promise an unsupported completion time.
6. Separate providers and continuing rights
An examination centre, insurer or other provider may have its own agreement and receive its own payment. Establish which party is responsible for the transaction concerned. Keep confirmations and correspondence if a question remains unresolved, and identify the point requiring clarification. Nothing here removes a statutory remedy or prevents an appropriate consumer complaint; an administrative repayment question also does not replace medical advice about continuing care.
